Urgent Action and Women's Solidarity Program - COVID-19

1. Applicant: Tanaziari

Title: Consultancy for Socially Vulnerable Elder Women and Pregnant Women

Region: Samegrelo, Zugdidi

Duration: 3 months

Budget: 2500 USD

Project aims to create phone consultation service for socially vulnerable elder women and pregnant women. Within the frames of the project, consultant will keep in touch with beneficiaries on a daily basis and provide all the necessary information about virus prevention, potential risks and medical services.

Consultant also will explain to elders how to get their social assistance and pension through following all the safety rules.

Furthermore, organization will purchase and disseminate necessary hygienic products and first aid medications.

 

2. Applicant: Transgender Solidarity Group

Title: Solidarity Group’s Initiative to Support Transgender People in Covid-19 Pandemic Crisis

Region: Tbilisi

Duration: 1 months

Budget: 2500 USD

The Solidarity Group aims to ensure that transgender people are prepared for the possible threats, caused by Covid19. 20 people who are in a severe crisis and need urgent assistance, will received financial support to cover rent and other important costs.

Project aims to increase awareness of repatriate Meskh women and youth on Covid-19 and assist them in order to get them out of the crisis.

 

4. Applicant: Caucasus Development and Initiative Group Women Care for Future

Title: Help Covid-19 Prevention, Take Care of Future

Region: Tbilisi

Duration: 2 months

Budget: 2500 USD

Project aims to identify the needs of different vulnerable groups of women, facing the Covid-19 pandemic and assist them. These groups include, but are not limited to: IDP, violence survivor, veteran, unemployed or disabled women.

 

5. Applicant: Woman and Universe; Armenian Women – Citizens of Georgia; Initiative Group Yung Azerbaijani Women in Georgia

Title: Women and Covid-19 Related Problems

Region: Kvemo Kartli, Bolnisi

Duration: 3 months

Budget: 2500 USD

Project aims to implement online informational campaign to overcome Covid-19 related problems, defend women’s rights, prevent domestic violence, and strengthen employees of different sectors in order to increase their efficiency of solving above mentioned problems.

 

6. Applicant: Women’s Information Center

Title: Stay at Home Safely

Region: Tbilisi

Duration: 2 months

Budget: 2500 USD

Project aims to deliver relevant information to women on their rights and existing public services, in order to prevent domestic violence and violence against women. Organization will create online groups of young people, living in Marneuli and Bolnisi Municipality cities and villages and include them in the campaign against the violence against women and domestic violence; ensure 112 mobile app installation in these youngsters and their family members’ phones; increase women’s awareness raisin on their rights and existing services, that might be useful for them in case of domestic or other types of violence.

 

7. Applicant: Women Fund for Development

Title: Assisting vulnerable communities together

Region: Abkhazia, Gali

Duration: 3 Months

Budget: 8000 GEL

The aim of the project is improving response to the needs of the vulnerable population in Abkhazia with special attention to women and elderly lonely people. In order to reach the aims of the project the following activities will be implemented: Crisis center services including consultations of gynecologist, pediatrician, psychologist, legal expert will be available for the women and children in Abkhazia. The online network of volunteers will be equipped with access to Internet and mobile connection and compile the data of the most vulnerable people in their community, call them on daily basis and check if they need any support or assistance. The mapping of the available services will be created and referral mechanism enacted in order to redirect the people in need to the corresponding agencies.

 

8. Applicant: Ajara Democratic Development Center

Title: Advocating labor rights during and supporting marginalized groups in Kobuleti municipality

Region: Ajara, Kobuleti

Duration: 2 months

Budget: 8000 GEL

Project aims to provide support for Roma women to receive necessary information on COVID19 and revealing the facts of their rights violations and also to work with women employees of local municipality, whose labor rights face a lot of challenges in this period.

 

9. Applicant: Youth Initiatives for Society’s Interests

Title: Road to peaceful coexistence

Region: Gori

Budget: 8000 GEL

Women living in village Skra, Karaleti and Verkhvebi IDP settlements represent various vulnerable groups (domestic violence victims/potential victims, single moms, pregnant women). Project aims to provide necessary information and access to services in order to achieve crisis solvation and peaceful coexistence.

 

10. Applicant: Women for Civil Rights and Education

Title: Identifying the needs of single moms and mothers of many children and providing support

Region: Tbilisi

Duration: 4 months

Budget: 8000 GEL

Project will provide pediatrician’s online consultation, psychologist’s consultations and technical support – purchasing of primary consumption items and disinfectants for single moms and mothers of many children living in Tbilisi and regions

 

11. Applicant: Association for Society’s Prosperity

Title: Psychosocial support for women

Region: Mtskheta

Duration: 6 months

Budget: 8000 GEL

Project aims to relieve vulnerable/marginalized women’s groups’ psychosocial stress and prevent further complications.

 

12. Applicant: Union Freja

Title: Decreasing the risks of domestic violence/prevention for self-Isolated women of Marneuli

Region: Tbilisi

Duration: 3 months

Budget: 8000 GEL

Project aims to decrease the risks of domestic violence and prevent women of Marneuli who might be isolated with predators. The organization will conduct a webinar and social workers will provide all the necessary information for violence victims. Also, a guideline with all active hotlines and public services will be created.

 

13. Applicant: Initiative group Women are Javakheti’s Strength

Title: Women for Javakheti’s healthy future

Region: Samtskhe-Javakheti, Akhalkalaki

Duration: 2 months

Budget: 8000 GEL

Project aims to raise Armenian women’s awareness through providing information in Armenian language. Group will provide medical and distribution service for 60+ single women and pregnant women mostly. Consultations of lawyers, gynecologists and other doctors will also be conducted in Armenian language.

 

14. Applicant: Youth for Pankisi Development

Project title: Access to Education for girls

Region: Akhmeta, Birkiani village

Duration: 3 months

Project amount 8000 GEL

The project aims to help girls in Pankisi not to fall behind their education and maintain usual study activities by procuring necessary digital devices.

 

15. Applicant: Youth Center of Kutaisi

Project title: Covid 19 recommendations and advice for blind, deaf, sight and hearing-impaired individuals

Region: Imereti, Kutaisi

Duration: 1 months

Project amount 8000 GEL

The project aims to use the organisation’s resources to raise awareness around coronavirus among blind, sight and hearing impaired communities. The project intends to create audio-visual guides with sign-language interpreted advice and recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health. The materials will be accompanied with advice from psychologists. The files will be home-delivered to individuals across villages and towns in Imereti.

Project title: Mobilising critical feminist discourse during pandemic

Region: Tbilisi

Duration: 3 months

The project aims to create alternative discourses and perspectives around the themes of feminist justice. The framework of the project includes reflecting upon the relationship between time and domestic labour and identifying those obstacles that hinder producing gender equality during pandemic.

Project title: Women from mountain for better future

Region: Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Stepantsminda

Duration: 4 months

Project amount 8000 GEL

The project aims to support women from the mountainous regions who have lost their earnings from selling hand-made objects due to pandemic. These women will be offered an educational course in how to access and position business on online market.

 

18. Applicant: Initiative group – Women from Racha

Project title: Supporting women in mountainous Racha

Region: Racha, Ambrolauri, Tbeti village

Duration: 1 months

Project amount 4267 GEL

The project aims to support elder women in Racha region with the help of young women from Tbeti village. The young will provide transportation, food delivery, and cleaning services whilst helping the elders to overcome the current anxiety caused by covid 19.

The project aims to relinquish stress caused by Covid 19 pandemic among women in Telavi municipality by empowering women and voicing/advocating the newly emerging problems.

 

20. Applicant: Gori Community Radio “Mosaic”

Project title: Supporting female victims of violence during Covid 19 pandemic

Region: Shida Kartli, Gori

Duration: 3 months

Project amount 5110 GEL

The project aims to support victims of domestic violence during lockdown. The project’s mission includes: 1. Creating media exposure around the court cases that deal with violence against women; 2. Increase support for safety of women in the lockdown. 3. Raise awareness among women about services that provide support for improving their living conditions and help them get protection against violence.
